Korous , still Kev's favourite?

Well no , today his name would be Ryan and he would be wearing, ( like every other Tom , Dick or Harry , 'Eau Sauvage' .

Back in the day , Korous was everywhere in 80s Birmingham .

And that's why, i never wore it.

It was down the terraces, in the dole que , at the bus stop. At the Wimpy , on the kids , just loitering, after finishing shoplifting from JL . Omnipresent.

But most of all it was in the clubs.

But not every club.

Yes at 'Millionares ', Yes at' Barbellas' .

These were the clubs frequented by Carl and Kevin and Tracy and Sharon , dancing around their collective handbags white socks and stilettoes , big hair (both sexes) , grey Burton suits donned ,having a great time . And absolutely good luck to them.

Then , there were the other clubs , smaller venues pubs and clubs such as the 'Powerhouse' , where the girls had razor sharp bobs , early Benetton jumpers and jeans , and penny loafers , ( both sexes) .

Here , no one wore Korous ,( it was strictly for the Kev's . )

Then , about 10 years ago I rediscovered a taste for perfumes , and thought i would give it another blast . However ,try as i might , i still , recoiled from the 80s assault on my nostrils, and ended up , rather regretfully , binning it.

Then , fairly recently , i thought, "lets just see"?

And yes . Dear reader . I loved it.

The hair is not so big , its not drinking rum and black anymore , waiting pissed up for the number 11 bus . Its wearing pennies , its been toned down .

There is no chance on earth , that this is the same formula that they even used 10 years ago,

let alone back in the day .

And its all the better for it .

Its got character . It develops over time on the skin .

And its so different from anything else out there by a country mile . And all for about 50 quid a 100ml , super looking , ( full of ) , bottle.

So if you want to smell like Ryan or Jack , wear' Dior Sauvage' , but if you happen to be more discerning, a leader not a follower, give this masterpiece a second chance and stand alone , but proud .
